WC add-on: How to filter on product categories and tags for variations?

I noticed that there’s no option to filter on product categories and tags when listing product variations at wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=product_variation
Is it possible to enable this somehow?

Hi Daniel,
Every Product variation is a custom post that is a child from the parent.
So I guess you want to show the category of the parent product and filter on it, right?
It’s an interesting idea and I will add this request to the feature list.
I’m not sure if filtering can be implemented since I can imagine it would be quite heavy on performance, but that’s something we can figure out later.

Yes, it might have an impact on performance unless the product_variation posts get connected with the same taxonomy terms as their parents :D But I’m sure that you can figure out something that works :)
Yes, of course, that would work, but this is not the case in WooCommerce and we have a philosophy not to change any data with our plugin for the need of our features. But you’re right, we probably find something that works ;)
