I’m not really for another setting for the column where you can set the link target (same of a new window) since I believe browsers already have enough options to do that in the browser. In the browser, you can use middle mouse click or windows/command click to open a link in a new tab. If you really need it though you can use the following hook to alter the value for your column and add/replace the link as you like.
