Select all taxonomy terms while inline editing

Hi,

I have a “Towns” taxonomy with 157 terms. For some posts, all terms need to be selected. Is there a quicker way than clicking them one by one?

I tried Windows shortcuts like CTRL+A and using the shift key to select a range, but that does not seem to work.

Unfortunately, this is not possible in our plugin.
Personally, I would probably create a script that does this for me, but I’m not sure if you know how to do that.
The Select box does not support multi select items with a keyboard combination.

Hi Stefan,

Ok, thanks. Perhaps it’s a nice feature for your wish list :-)

I have created a similar script once, that selected all terms of a taxonomy upon opening a post for editing. It worked, but there seems to be some issue in WordPress core because it started firing numerous requests (to a WordPress API if I remember correctly). That slowed down the admin for a few minutes each time. So not a real time saver.

I guess we have to stick to what we have.
