ReferenceError: event is not defined
Hello,
I’m getting the following error on the back-end:
ReferenceError: event is not defined
https://domain.com/wp-content/plugins/admin-columns-pro/classes/Search/assets/js/table.bundle.js?ver=4.4.1 line 1
This can happen anywhere in the admin area but this time I noticed it being triggered in the Media Library.
Any suggestions, thank you!
Hi Daniel,
I’m sorry to hear that you experience this issue on your environment.
Since this specific message does not really tell me where to look in our code, I need some more information.
It would really help I can get access to your environment, will that be possible?
Please send any information to support@admincolumns.com.
For what is worth I am also seeing another plugin throwing a similar error:
ReferenceError: photocrati_ajax is not defined
The only way I can provide access to our environment is through a remote session via my computer, if that works for you we can setup one.
Thanks!
Hi Daniel,
That would not be ideal.
Can you maybe send me a list of installed plugins and see if you can find the place in our JS file where it throws the error? In that case, I could have a better understanding of where to look in our code.
Hi Stefan,
I understand that.
I tried inspecting the error a little more and this is the only thing I could pull:
ReferenceError: event is not defined table.bundle.js:1:31514
value/< https://cityofwinterpark.org/wp-content/plugins/admin-columns-pro/classes/Search/assets/js/table.bundle.js:1:31514
The file, unfortunately, has the code all in one line as it seems to be minified.
Here’s the list of my installed plugins:

Can you contact me on support@admincolumns.com so I can send you a version of Admin Columns Pro with some debug info in it?
We are experiencing a very similar error, and have for a few months. The precise message we have is:
ReferenceError: event is not defined
https://domain.com/wp-content/plugins/admin-columns-pro/classes/Search/assets/js/table.bundle.js?ver=4.5.2 line 1
(Note the later version)
JS Console shows the error at table.bundle.js:1:7898 .
Our plugins that match those posted by OP above:
Admin Columns Pro
Admin Columns Pro – Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
Advanced Custom Fields PRO
Debug Bar

I’m sorry Stefan,
I didn’t have a chance to email you yet.
CBRACKEN, we have the same plugins, that may be related or not… no clue yet.
Thanks.
Will it be possible that I can get access to one of your (test/staging) environments so I can debug this myself? If so, please send any information to support@admincolumns.com or try to contact me on the live chat to do this real time.
