PODs custom field filtering & sorting on Taxonomy list
When using the PODs Addon and creating a custom view for the Taxonomy list, any PODs custom field does not have a filter or sort option to enable or disable. It also doesn’t get added to the Smart filtering. I’m not 100% sure, but I’m almost 100% sure this worked in some previous version.
When looking into this, I opened the following file:
ac-addon-pods/classes/Column/Taxonomy.php
In there I found a comment “Pods does not work with Tax meta, so search won’t work with the default meta models”, but I’m just now sure if this is at all true. Either way I commented out lines 22-32 in the Taxonomy.php and all the filtering & sorting working as expected after doing some quick testing. Why has this functionality been disabled?
This might be related to an old version of Pods where this did not work.
It is not something that was changed recently though, so this has always been the case for our Pods integration.
I will add it to our roadmap so we can have another look at this.
As a workaround, you might be able to use our Custom Field column instead.
