Null Values not showing up.

We are currently using Admin Columns to display a custom field that has a date value. This works great when there is a value in that field, but when there isn’t a value and we sort it filters out the items that do not contain a value. Is there a way to show the items that do not have a value and sort them to the top?

Thank you.

Hi Mark,

When you go to our settings page and go to the tab ‘settings’ you can enable the option ‘show all results when sorting’. But keep in mind that this option applies to all overview pages and sort action within the WordPress admin interface.

Stefan, that worked…but since this is a date field all the Null values got placed on January 1st, 1970. I understand why that happened but do you know if there is a way to filter these items to the top of the list?

Hi Mark,

So if I understand you correctly, the items are not sorted on the bottom of the screen correct? Unfortunately there is no hook or way to alter the way the items are sorted right now. Especially because the display in this case is different that the actual value, which is null.
