What exactly is your question?
A class is not necessary or mandatory on the link element.
I understand that it will make the CSS that is applied a little bit more specific, but I’m not sure if it will still be specific enough to fix your issue. The link color seems to be overwritten by another stylesheet, and based on the screenshot I don’t know which one. The grey link color should be applied based on its data attribute.
