Inline Editing not updating the modified date
I was updating Yoast fields using inline updating and noticed that after updating the fields the modified date remained the same. This is an issue because the modified dated is used on the sitemap. Since the date is not updated after inline editing the sitemap date doesn’t update.
Our inline edit feature indeed only changed the fields or custom fields.
If you want to automatically update the post data, you can trigger the update post method yourself with one of our hooks. See the first example on the following page on how to do that.
