Inline Date Edit Suggestion
I really like the inline edit function, it is making my life a lot easier!
One thing which would make it even better is if the date picker had an option to select “Today” rather than needing to scroll through several months to get to the current date. Or just allow direct entry of the date rather than having to use the picker.

This seems like a valid request and easy to use feature, so I’ll add it to our feature request list.
Do I understand you correctly that you only have this behaviour when you already have a date as a value that is somewhere in the past of future? For empty records it starts automatically on the today date.
