Import the export file into a spreadsheet without truncating long text
Hello,
My client has to enter data of about 300 beers in Admin Columns.
I think it would be even more comfortable for him to enter it in a spreadsheet.
So, I’ve exported the data with the export button. But when I import it into a spreadsheet (Excel or Google spreadsheets) the content description is truncated.
I don’t know if this is caused by the Admin Columns spreadsheet or by the spreadsheet.
I’ve also tried to export the data in another way; the description is not truncated then but not imported right. It is spread into different columns probably caused by comma’s and double quotes etc in the descriptions.
Could you advice how I could export and import the data into a spreadsheet the right way, so also the description is imported right?

Hi Sandra,
Currently, we export the displayed value for the post content. If that’s truncated then the exported value will be too. But like you mentioned, it would be better to export the full content.
We have already made the changes to our plugin for the upcoming release. This release will be out somewhere next week.
In the meantime, I can send you a copy of the beta, just send an email to support.
