Export button is always hidden

I have several views with standard columns only. For example a list of a custom post type with title only. Still the export button is hidden.
If I set display to block in the code for the export button, I can export a file that is formatted perfectly.
What am I doing wrong, since the export button is always hidden?

You can enable the export button on the screen options menu (top right on overview).
This is a user preference so next time you visit the overview page it will still be visible.
It is stored per overview page, so you’ll need to enable it for each list screen if you need it.

Is it possible to have it enabled as default for new users?
After rechecking our code, this should be the case by default.
Unfortunately, this was altered in our latest version because of a wrong setting check.
In the next release, it will be enabled by default and it can be disabled on the screen options menu per user or on list screen level on the settings page.
