Change export format or encoding

Hello,

I know this question has already been asked, but maybe things have changed..
I am using Admin Columns Pro and its export features for clients who use old versions of EXCEL, and they can’t open UTF8 encoded CSV which is really annoying.
Is there any possibility to change the encoding of the CSV file, or switch to .xls file ?
I tried the solution explained here : https://officetuts.net/excel/examples/how-to-import-csv-file-that-uses-utf-8-encoding/ and it does not work for their version of Excel.

Thanks in advance, and thanks again for the great plugin.
Best,
Etienne

We have decided that implementing this feature is not feasible for us at this time. The main reason is that the version of Excel encountering this issue is at least 11 years old, and UTF-8 has been the standard for most spreadsheet programs ever since.

That said, we have added this to our list of suggested features for future consideration. We will revisit it to explore whether it’s possible to support these older versions of Excel without affecting the current UTF-8 implementation. For example through the use of a hook/filter based on which user needs a different encoder.
