Can I limit the post status in the user post count?
I use the user posts column to display the number of custom posts for a user which includes posts archived using Archived Post Status Plugin. That number can be quite large, so I’d also like to be able to display posts with a specific post status in a separate column. Is there a way to do this without custom coding? If not, can you give me some direction I can pass along to my developer?

I’m not entirely sure what you mean. Do you want to show a post-count per post-status? Or a column that has all the post-statuses with the number of posts behind it?
Either way, that would require some custom coding. However, we have a toolkit that allows you to make additional columns for Admin Columns Pro quite easy with some PHP knowledge: https://www.admincolumns.com/documentation/guides/creating-new-column-type/
