Allow filter column only with smart filter
Hi,
Is it possible to allow a column to be filterable but only with SMART FILTER, i mean i don’t want to have dropdown list filter and i can’t go to sreen options to hide them because it is a multisite author and i don’t think i can hide for the role in the same time.

Smart Filtering and Filtering are two separate things.
For filtering, we build in an option to disable the drop downs for each column since it can be obtrusive when you have a lot of column with filtering enabled. Since the drop downs are not directly visible for Smart Filtering, we decided to make Smart Filtering always available. Smart Filtering can only be deactivated at once through the settings menu.
So in your case, you can simply deactivate filtering for your column which will hide the drop-down filters and leave Smart Filtering untouched.
