admin columns not displaying for one user

We have a weird situation – one of our admin users isn’t seeing the correct column order, but when she clicks the setting icon to try to modify them, the list of columns IS correct and the same one that all the other admin users see. So in edit view, it is correct, but on viewing the data itself, it is not. What can we do?

I expect that the user has used the Column Ordering feature in our plugin.

This allow users to reorder the columns as their own user preference.
You can reset this per user in the Screen Options menu.
It is also possible to disable this feature in the column settings page.
