We changed this behavior in version 7.0, and at the moment there isn’t a way to switch back to the previous display that showed the item title and link directly in the column.

We’ll consider adding an option to choose how this column is displayed in a future update. The current count-based display will most likely remain the default, but we’d like to make the display configurable again.
