Manage media columns for WordPress. Below, you can find the complete list of added columns for the WordPress media overview admin screen. They support sorting, filtering and editing!

Actions Column

The actions column will display the action bar that would normally display when you hover the row. There is the option to show a text link or icons.

This column will hide the original action bar that is added to the primary column, usually the first column.

Shows the alternative text or alt text of an image.

Tip By sorting this column you can easily spot missing alt-tags, and those missing alt-tags can quickly be updated using inline edit.
Available Sizes

Available Sizes Column

Shows all available sizes for the image. Each item links directly to the URL of the image.

There is an option to also include all missing images sizes.

Enabling this option will show which image sizes are missing.

Caption Column

Shows the caption of the image on the WordPress media screen.


Description Column

Shows the description of the image or file.


Dimensions Column

Shows the width and height of the original uploaded image.

You can sort this column to see which are the largest or smallest images on the site.


EXIF Data Column

EXIF data is stored within the image itself. It contains information such as camera model, copyright, shutter speed, aperture, creation date and much more. With the EXIF column, you can display all this information on your WordPress Media screen.

  • Caption
  • Copyright
  • Credit
  • Focal Length
  • ISO
  • Keywords
  • Orientation
  • Shutter Speed
  • Timestamp
  • Title
Note EXIF data is only available if your hosting server has enabled the exif php module.
File Size

File Size Column

Shows the file size of each media item on the WordPress media screen.

This column can also be sorted by file size.

Menu Column

The menu column displays all the menus that contain that page, post or category. Each item links to that particular menu for easy access.

Menu Column

You can add or remove pages from a menu directly from the overview. You no longer have to go to each menu and search for that particular page, you can just change menu right from the page overview. This can be a great time saver when you are using menus.

Taxonomy Column

By default, WordPress only display a category or tag column. The taxonomy column displays any taxonomy, also your custom taxonomies, as a column. It shows all the related terms for a specific taxonomy.

When adding this column, you can choose which taxonomy you want to show. Only taxonomies that are available for the current post type can be selected.
